LSG, an R&B supergroup, was formed in 1996 by Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat, and Johnny Gill. The name "LSG" combines the first letter of each member's last name. Keith Sweat conceived the idea to collaborate with Johnny Gill, and Gerald Levert joined soon after, creating a powerful trio. Together, they held thirty number-one R&B hits and sold over thirty million records. In 1997, LSG released their debut album "Levert.Sweat.Gill," featuring hits like "My Body," which topped R&B charts and was certified double platinum. The follow-up album "LSG2" came out in 2003. After Gerald Levert's death in 2006, Eddie Levert, Gerald's father, replaced him in the group in 2013. LSG's legacy continues to resonate through their timeless music and collaborative talent.
