Jae Deal is a multi-genre composer, producer, arranger, and orchestrator whose innovative work spans pop, hip hop, gospel, and more. Behind the scenes and on stage, Jae has worked with with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Charli XCX, Mary Mary, and Kanye West. In 2023, after serving as a Professor of Music Production and Hip Hop Music & Culture at the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music, Jae returned to full-time composing and producing. This transition immediately bore fruit, with Jae receiving two nominations as a composer for his work alongside Adam Blackstone on the LEGACY album. Soon after, Jae's track "Joint 2" was sampled by Kanye West on the song "Vultures", and by Charli XCX on her hit single "Everything is Romantic"—further solidifying his reputation as a producer, composer, and musician whose influence crosses genres. With a rich background in live performance and studio production, Jae has worked on major tours like Janet Jackson's Rock Witchu Tour, and his orchestration work continues to blend traditional musical elements with cutting-edge production techniques.
