Kitty Cartel is the solo project of DJ/Producer Austin Bartlett. A product of the Pacific Northwest, years spent outdoors on lakes, in the mountains, and exploring the Seattle and Tacoma music scenes are evident in the Kitty Cartel sound. He spent his younger years listening to Pink Floyd with his dad and getting dropped off at local rock shows with friends as soon as he was old enough to get through the door. Kitty Cartel found his calling after attending a Skrillex show in 2010, and dove into the deep end, teaching himself all he could about producing his own sounds and music. He co-founded of a group of musicians called Night Noxx in 2017 to grow producing knowledge and hold events in Seattle and Tacoma. In 2020 Kitty Cartel made the move to LA to fully focus on his music career. A recent graduate of Icon Collective in Burbank, CA, he’s constantly working on new music and honing is craft. Kitty Cartel Sound: Kitty Cartel creates a blend of Free-Form Bass, Dance/Electronic, and Hip-Hop music. Inspiration for his music comes from the ability to give every song an identity through telling a specific story. Some of his favorite artists include Atmosphere, Elliot Moss, Liquid Stranger, and Zeds Dead, and he’s currently listening to the likes of Supertask, Of the Trees, CloZee, and Charlesthefirst.
