Popi Malliotaki was born and raised in Crete, Greece. She studied nursing in Heraklion, Crete and worked as a Nurse while at the same time she sang in some nightclubs. After eight months she decided to leave the nursing and work exclusively as professional artist/singer. She has collaborated with many artists, such as: Paschalis Terzis, Yannis Ploutarchos, Giorgos Mazonakis, Katerina Stanisi etc. From 2005 to 2008 Popi had joined Alpha Records and released her personal albums titled "Aparetiti Agapi Mou", "Alli Mia Fora" and "Popara". In her first discography "Aparetiti Agapi Mou", Popi Malliotaki succeeded to conquer the 13th place for a week in the period 13/6 to 19/06/05 in the official index of the Greek music market of the IFPI TOP 50 songs for the Greek repertoire. In the summer of 2007, her second album "Alli Mia Fora" becomes gold from Yiasoo.com. In 2008, the satirical song "Popara" released in 6 different languages and 3 versions to answer in this way, at satire which had been brought by Lakis Lazopoulos through the tv show "Al Tsantiri Niouz". The song was a great success from the early days of release and she gained wide recognition and popularity to the public in a very short time. From 2018 to 2021 she has a contract with the N°1 independent music label in Greece, Heaven Music and she has released 4 digital singles: "De Horizoun Oi Kardies Mas", "Thema Epafis", "To Klidi Tou Feggariou" & "Arga i Grigora".
