Krys Evans was born Marsella Christina Evans in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to an Afrolatina mother and a West Indian father. She relocated to Queens, New York for high school where she began to experiment with recording music. Krys attended St. John’s University with a major in English. After graduation, she focused entirely on her music career. Her debut album, “Resilient,” was released in January of 2020. The leading song “New Life” features legendary verses from Jim Jones and Loaded Lux. In 2021, she released “Over Everything” a smash hit featuring Grammy nominated reggae artist, Sizzla. In 2022 she returned with "All Night", a high-energy dancehall record featuring Teejay.
