Tomás Ford is an alternative cabaret cult hero, touring Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Tomás' shows smash together his synth-twiddlin’ electronic music, oddball video projections, suave cabaret crooning and punk rock party-starting. His performance style has come together over a decade of testing bad ideas against audiences in Australia's roughest music pubs and warehouse parties. Highlights have included national supports for Birds Of Tokyo, the Big Day Out’s Lilyworld and opening for many of his heroes including Gary Numan, The Presets and Architecture In Helsinki. In 2012, he threw himself at the world of Fringe Festivals and found he stuck; a trail of sold-out shows, awards including an Adelaide Fringe Weekly Award (2015), Fringe World Best WA Cabaret Award (2013), a nomination for the first TO&ST Edinburgh Cabaret Award (2012) and five WAMi Awards. In 2016, he semi-accidentally became a bona fide viral sensation in Malaysia with a series of Malay language videos. In 2019, he and Ze Rebelle won the VIMA Award for Best Dance Release. During the global apocalypse, he's been hardcore into online streaming, with huge online Crap Raves and live shows of his own, plus his boutique livestreaming service NormalPlace.tv . He's also been busily working on his new film and album "...COME HAVE A BATH WITH ME?", another LP "Sad Dad" and his big grand spy thriller musical movie "Chase!".... to keep up with all of this, follow him on Patreon (at patreon.com/tomasford).
