NickyDonnie, a rapper from Canfield, Ohio, started making music in his late teens where he renovated a camper bathroom as a home studio that he kept parked in his parent’s backyard. Young Nicky, who couldn’t quite find his place among his peers, found an outlet in music when he felt like he wasn’t heard. The fast paced, rhythmic storytelling that presented in Hip Hop called to him and from then, inspired him to start writing and recording his own music as a method to release his inner turmoil. 
 It wasn’t until he was twenty-two years old, when he upgraded his space to a mobile home park based around Warren, Ohio, that he started working towards turning his art into a career. Music for Nicky has been an experimental journey as he discovers his sound, effortlessly ranging from gritty, emotionally driven angst to softer, melancholy melodies mixed with the calming vibrations of lo-fi. His lyricism details the struggles of mental health, and how he has used music as an anchor to survive. 
 Nicky released his EP, Sh!T Happens in 2020, followed by multiple singles and features.
