Music has been a source of joy and comfort for Marcel all his life. He is trained in classical music and jazz and has been into electronic music since 1995. Marcel has always aspired to create that special energy that evolves when the crowd connects with the music. His role as a resident DJ at OXA Club in Zurich and the radio broadcast Couleur 3, as well as his legendary after hour sets made DJ Simple an epitome of the Swiss techno culture. With a philosophy without any compromise regarding perfection and authenticity, he headlined all major events in Switzerland including Energy, Goliath, Motion, Street Parade, featured festivals such as Nature One, Q-Base, and Summer Parade and played overseas in Canada and South America. Further highlights in his carreer scene are his gigs at eminent venues such as Privilege (Ibiza, ES), Manga Rosa (São Paulo, BR), Matrixx (Nijmegen, NL) and Circus (Nancy, FR). Marcel's creative nature expresses itself in his artistic mixing technique and translates into his passion for music production. Compilations range from OXA, Goliath or Partysan and maintained their position in the official sales charts in Switzerland and Scandinavia for weeks. Moreover, his tracks supported by DJ Rush and Judge Jules were released on various labels, entered the global charts and featured various compilations.
