From his days touring North America in punk & metal bands to his early life in a remote backwoods fishing village surrounded by a community of pickers and singers to the years of hard labor jobs on fishing boats, tobacco fields, logging camps and construction sites Jay has lived and bled for his music. Returning to his roots in country, folk and bluegrass Jay was inspired to start writing his own songs. He wears influences like John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Paycheck and Jerry Jeff Walker on his sleeve. Constantly touring, often sleeping in his van, sometimes with his bike, making new friends at shows every night, Jay is living the outlaw country lifestyle and loving every minute.
