Hailing from the Northern quarter of the UK in Doncaster, Chris Melaugh AKA Mehlor has been bubbling over for a minute and in a short space of time has already articulated an impressive catalogue of digital releases: with in-form labels such as Rendr, Ladeep, Music Related, ukiyo and minimal giants Deep Tech Records all snapping up his tunes. His music has been materialised into wax with recent releases on vinyl dons Blind Vision and Modula selling out and further adding to his increasingly imposing portfolio. His music also makes frequent appearances on the webzine blogs of popular and respected global tastemakers, with Trommel and Recordeep both sharing his records to their world-wide audiences on a regular basis Delving into the the deeper territories of house music, Mehlor has an instantly recognisable sound and his punchy, intricate and melodic deep tech style is catching the attention of some of the biggest hot shots in the scene. Influential DJ’s including the likes of Dewalta, Cosmic, Luca Donzelli Chris Stussy, Prunk and Paolo Rocco have all picked up his music in recent times are spinning his tunes to packed out crowds across Europe. When he’s not locked away in the studio you can find him showcasing his sound mostly in the northern hemisphere of the UK. He is a regular feature at main-sayer parties in Leeds including Dissonance and Distrikt, with further appearances at Discotek (Cardiff), Vision (Doncaster) and down south at Sanctum in London with more to come.
