alucidnation is the audio project of Bruce Bickerton. Bruce has been writing and producing music since he started building his studio in the early 1990s. Bruce's first 'proper' career was as a studio tape op, engineer and producer at Fairview Studios in Hull, UK, and this experience subsequently laid a solid foundation for his future music career. The music of alucidnation played a key role in the Big Chill, the UK's first ‘boutique’ music festival. Bruce signed to the label in 2000 and performed and DJ'd at pretty much every Big Chill event until 2010, gigging in countries such as Greece, India, Japan, Korea and many more. These were significant events because they planted seeds which have since flourished worldwide. In hindsight, Big Chill festivals represent an high-point for music, DIY culture and live electronica-based audio/visual performances. Bruce released two critically-acclaimed albums on Big Chill Recordings; 'Re-induction' and 'Get Lost'. The label also released two alucidnation EPs, simply titled 'ep:01' and 'ep:02'. Along with Pete Lawrence, Bruce produced & mixed The Big Chill's award-winning 'Glisten' compilation, released back in 2001. Bruce signed his third album to Interchill Records, releasing 'Aural Architecture' in late 2013. The latest release 'paracosmic' surfaced in late 2018 on bespoke imprint, Lucid Recordings.
