John Hazelton (born May 23), known as Hazernomical, is an American hip-hop recording artist, songwriter, record producer, screenplay writer, author, and actor. He has widely been recognized as influencing several contemporary hip-hop and alternative acts. In early 2008, Haze rose to prominence with his commercial debut single "Love Me Notts," which became an avant-garde hit. It was later featured on Haze's Coming Soon (2009) demo and later used for behind-the-scenes footage of the "Dew Tour." Since 2010, he has been featured on several projects and formed the alternative hip-hop band "My Man's and Them," with his long-time collaborator Phillip Smith. Hazernomical began to gain significant recognition following the release of his first official full-length project, titled "The Point of No Return" (2010), which caught the attention of Mic Handz and Innocent? , who signed Haze to their THEM Recordings label imprint by late 2014. In 2020, Haze signed to the Back Block Music Group imprint, founded by Juxx Diamondz. The Hip-Hop Shop EP volume 1 was released on August 16, 2021, with distribution by Sony Music/Orchard and Who Mag hosted by Doc Ahk.
