Jerylme Lyndell Robins, also known by his stage name Sophistasoul, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer whose life revolves around God, family, and music, respectively. While born and raised in the West Texas college town of Lubbock, his artistic sensibility elicits a vibe found more in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United states. Sophistasoul spends his creative time producing his own original projects, working with other local creatives on their studio projects, and periodically performing live in the region. His take on music is that it should be as real and true to the artist as possible in order to convey the message that an artist is specifically created to bring to the world. Until recently, Sophistasoul has released only a few underground projects and wrote and performed as a featured artist on the projects of others. With the release of his full-length album LoveRevolved, fall 2018 is poised to provide a chance for current and soon-to-be fans to be fully exposed to Sophistasoul’s intriguing style that pays homage to the roots of soul and R&B music while being authentic to his ear for unforgettable melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.
