Official Biz Music Presents: Bunny Hea...

Biography

Janie "Bunny Hearts" Lyn is a classical pianist turned funk keyboardist for the group Official Biz, a funk band based in the Inland Empire region of Southern California.
Although Bunny is known as a singer-songwriter and music producer, she is also a force in the live performance arena. As the keyboardist for the band, Official Biz, she has 10 years of experience gracing the stage. This Neo-Retro Funk Band is known for a big sound and has opened or performed with various artists, such as Christopher Williams, Lyfe Jennings, El and Chico DeBarge, Brandy and Ray J, Marques Houston, Howard Hewitt, Jon B and more.
As a singer, songwriter, her influences are as eclectic as her music style. Her music reflect notes of Jazz, Soul, RnB, with some Minneapolis Funk, laced with symphonic strings and horns, melodic phrases over a funky bass and drums. She credits several artists as heavy influences on her evolution as an up and coming contemporary musician and artist, such as Prince, Joe Sample, Bob James, HER, Alicia Keys, and The BeeGees. She states, “I try to write authentically and not through a filter. My hope is that my music takes the listener on a musical journey.”
When asked about her favorite performances, Bunny reflects on her live performance online with Brownmark of The Revolution, The Rugged, Rob Bacon, and Wizard Jones; and also as Jesse Johnson’s (from The Time) keyboardist on his Osaka and Tokyo, Japan concerts.
