The multi-dimensional artist turns heads with her fascinating visuals and unique take on pop music. Prevalent in her 2023 single releases Signs, Hold You & Touch Me, her art & music have captured the attention of renowned publications such as Kaltblut and Wonderland with Purple Sneakers Best New Music dubbing her the ‘dance queen’. Mo’s alt-electro-pop music has been compared to artists such as Charli XCX, Robyn & Kimbra. The point of difference is the cinematic way of how she moulds a song using visual inspiration. A huge fan of cinema, theatre, performance art, soundtracks and scores, Mo pays homage to that love by highlighting moments of drama and tension in her music. “When I create art and solve problems I see things in pictures. For example if I am crafting a synth subconsciously I’m thinking what colour it is, what shape it is, what texture it is, what feeling it has and what is its intention, kind of like giving each sound in the piece a character. From then I create a narrative, the journey of the song, like cutting and editing a film. I believe this is why I have such a heavy involvement in my visuals for each song, the visuals need to represent the essence of the song but in an artistic and abstract way otherwise my release is not complete.”
