Born and raised in Calgary, Canada 22-year-old rapper DeSean Williams (a.k.a. $tik) got his hometown going brazy. Starting in 2017, connecting with life-long friend/recording artist Black$tar and mutual friend/recording artist Deezy, the trio began making music together and did 35+ shows in 3 years at countless venues across the city including opening for Kent Jones and Outlawz. In 2018, the trio was offered an opening spot by 10@10 for Smokepurpp at The Palace Theater. Seeing the increase in attention $tik’s debut album was put into production. During the process, the crew opened for the likes of Madchild, Rich Homie Quan, Lil Nas X, and the late legendary Juice WRLD. $tik also branched out to work with more creatives and artists like Yung Papi Bonito, Tony Toosick/Toosick, Doneze, Kuya Jerzey, YeahThisAlp, Max Storie, and more.
