Based in Gothenburg (Sweden) Fredrik Ståhl releases Electronic Body Music under the name Nervous Damage. 
With his modular synth and machines from Elektron he explores the boundaries of the genre while keeping its very core: the funkiness, the punk attitude and the sounds you feel in your gut. The lyrics deal with both the political and the personal, with topics ranging from anxiety to (anti-)capitalism. 
The self-titled debut album was released in October 2022. It draws inspiration from EBM in the late 80s and yet offers something fresh in a genre that sometimes feels a bit stale. In March 2023 it won the award for best debut album at the Swedish music awards Synthsläggan.
