TerraHertz is the Psychedelic Trance project of Louis Mulder, from Cape Town, South Africa. After moving to Cape Town and experiencing the Psytrance scene there over the course of 2016, the longing to better understand and comprehend these intelligent frequencies urged Louis to begin creating his own music. Thus the project TerraHertz (Energy, frequencies and vibrations from Earth.) was born. Louis grew up heavily influenced by various alternative rock and metal bands, classical pieces, motion picture soundtracks, indie & psychedelic rock, and dark ambient soundscapes until the discovery of psychedelic trance music. The influences of the project include that of the 'darker' artists performing in the Cape Town scene, and darker music from all over the world, focused on but not limited to higher speeds than the usual SA speed limit. (148 bpm) Since then, in the midst of connections with local and international producers, he has accumulated techniques, creating his own style within genres such as Night Psychedelic, Twilight, Forest and Darkpsy, exploring cosmic soundscapes through which the listeners can have a unique experience. Always bringing an ancestral and spiritual touch, with the intention of transporting the listener into an active meditative state of being through the movement of dance, and thus invoking a mental state of high vibration.
