Karizma is a musical artist from Nottingham, UK, who is living proof that creative evolution is one of the keys to maintaining longevity. Hailing from one of the UK’s hotbeds for rap talent, Karizma initially gained notoriety as a part of the now legendary Notts’ crew, Out Da Ville on releases such as their infamous 1998 LP, Out Da Ville Productions Presents. He also collaborated with more UK legends in the years that followed, including a track with Task Force (Coppers on My Case) and one with Rodney P (No Pets Allowed). Fast forward to 2012 and Karizma decided to take a hiatus from music, which lasted until 2019 when he visited Italy on a successful quest to learn to play jazz piano. From there he began singing lessons with a vocal coach, with the aim to be able to breathe more life into his hooks. That brings us to the present day where we find Karizma poised to make something of a comeback (you can call it that). The jazz piano and vocal work have fed into his music over the last year or so, culminating in a soulful street sound with an extra edge, thanks to the myriad of influences which also seep into the mix. He is planning on releasing his debut album, alongside Jazz Musician, Producer and fellow Notts native Jack Wolff.
