Multi-instrumentalist and composer, having started his musical studies with the guitar, since the beginning he had a great interest in other aspects of making music, which took him to dedicate to composition, violin, viola, musicology, conduction and playing music with historical instruments (vihuela, lute, renaissance, baroque and early romantic guitar, 8 and 10 string guitars, terz guitar and mandolin). He has given recitals, masterclass and lectures in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru, Spain, Portugal, France and many regions from Brazil. Dalmacio´s repertoire include since renaissance pieces played with vihuela or lute to recent work premieres and he has recorded part of this repertoire on four CDs. Very active as composer, he accounts many premiered works, since instrumental solos, passing from chamber music works to compositions for chorus and orchestra, with premieres and performances of his works in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and United States. Marcos Pablo Dalmacio is the Artistic Director and violinist from Orquestra de Cordas da Ilha (Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil) which plays concerts in many cities, presenting inedited works in the country and with the collaboration of prestigious soloists.
