Anya Lagman is a Filipina composer, producer, and pianist. Most recently, she made her scoring debut and contributed additional music to "Scavengers Reign," a Max Original animated series, created and executive produced by Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner. Lagman's works have been performed by The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and Manila Philharmonic Orchestra in notable venues across the United States and the Philippines. In July 2023, she was selected as the first composer by the Malacañang Heritage Tours, an initiative created by the Philippines' Department of Tourism. Entitled “Pagsibol,” the first musical and cultural show held in the Philippine capital's Goldenberg Mansion Cultural Center, was well attended by esteemed national producers, directors, filmmakers, choir masters, Honorable Ambassadors, and the current First Lady, Liza Araneta Marcos. Additional significant works and collaborations include: Balikbayan, an original choral work for The Philippine Madrigal Singers, one of the major choral groups based in the University of the Philippines. Originally from Manila, Philippines, Lagman began playing piano at the age of four and composing at the age of fourteen after being inspired by Hans Zimmer's score for the Christopher Nolan film, Inception. Growing up in a musical household, spent alongside gifted vocalists and musicians in a vibrant international culture, her childhood greatly influenced her passion for composing and producing.
