Kyle Christopher Hesketh - known professionally as Kalateral, is a Canadian Rapper and Performer who was born and raised in Vernon, British Columbia. From as early on as he could develop his own music taste, Kalateral was hooked on Hip Hop/Rap music and used it as a way to cope with his anxieties in everyday life. It was in 2016, just before entering his grad year that Kalateral actually got into making music himself. After he was introduced by mutual friends to rapper/musician Keaton Vernon (M.E.I.S.) - a founding member of ‘DCK’ (Divine Conscious Kollective - formerly ‘Dunce Cap Kids’,) Kalateral joined the group and set out to write his first couple of songs which would ultimately end up as his first singles “Go and Get Mine” and “My Soul”. In 2019 he released his first full-length EP entitled “Solitary Thoughts”, and kept a busy touring schedule with DCK - including opening slots on hip-hop heavyweights ‘Snak the Ripper’ and ‘La Coka Nostra’’ respective tours. It was after a heavy year of musical and personal growth that Kalateral and ‘DCK’ signed with LegionHQ Music Group, an Okanagan based record-label and management group in late 2019. Together they recorded his new EP ‘Kalateral Damage’ as well as the single ‘Bird’s Eye View’ at LegionNorth Recording Studios in Armstrong BC with producer Shane Bouthillier (Opposite I, Liz Blair). ‘Bird’s Eye View’ will be released worldwide on September 4th, and the ‘Kalateral Damage’ full-length EP drops on December 4th, 2020.
