Greek pianist and composer Yann Keerim is known for experimenting with a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical music to world jazz and neo-classical genres. His collaborations with Armenian soloists like Haig Yazdjian and Ara Dinkjian have significantly influenced his musical approach and aesthetics, helping him develop a unique perception of the piano's role alongside Arabic and Eastern instruments such as the oud. In 2013, Keerim recorded with ECM Records, the prestigious German label founded by Manfred Eicher, as the pianist for the Sokratis Sinopoulos Quartet the album "Eight Winds." This was followed by another ECM release, "Metamodal," in 2019, with both albums produced by the legendary Manfred Eicher. Keerim began his musical studies at the age of four, initially focusing on classical music and drawing inspiration from composers such as Chopin and Mendelssohn, with Alexander Scriabin becoming a major influence later on. In the early 2000s, he started producing solo piano tracks for various music libraries. For the past five years, he has been producing solo piano pieces in the neo-classical style, influenced by the works of Chilly Gonzales.
