Musically trained in different countries, Daniel has become one of the most renowned jazz saxophonists of the international music scene. He has lived and studied music in different cities around the world like Amsterdam, New York, Toronto, Groningen, Barcelona and Málaga. He has performed in many cities, such us Rotterdam, New York, Toronto, Bucharest, Madrid, Amsterdam, Almería, Tunisia, Tenerife, etc... and has collaborated, among others, with leading jazz musicians Dado Moroni, John Clayton, John Betsch, Francisco Mela, Peter Bernstein or Eric Alexander. In May 2019 he recorded his first album as a leader: “First Statement", which has been released on the label "Outside in Music". "First Statement" is a compendium of Daniel's original songs that reflects Daniel's musical background and vital experiences up until now, and features jazz masters Peter Bernstein on guitar and alto saxophonist Perico Sambeat. The rest of the band is made by some of the most renowned young players from the current international jazz scene: João Pereira on drums, Romeu Tristão on bass (both from Portugal) and Sri Hanuraga on piano (from Jakarta, Indonesia).
