Ken Miyao was born in Bonn ( Germany ) with parents originating from Japan and Scotland. Early in his life, whilst living in Japan with his parents he discovered the passion for music and started singing with his father, who taught him all about the art of singing. Ken was always fascinated by bands like Boyz2Men, Shai, NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys who were the entrepreneurs of singing harmonies and a capella. This was the reason why at the age of 17 he decided to join, what was to be one of the most successful German boy-bands in the history of German pop music to this date, the band Overground. After having travelled and performed as a 4-piece for over 5 years the band split up in 2007. Since then, Ken was part of several different music projects and started working as a vocal coach. There is an old proverb that states, that if you hang around the barber shop long enough, sooner or later you will get a hair cut. And so, this year his solo project `Ken Miyao´ will be debuting with the first single `A59´ which will hit airwaves July 17th.
