Even though young Théo always had a soft spot for hip hop and R&B, he never imagined his selection and DJing would take him further than his parent’s basement. That was until BSMNT came along, the modest club night he started in 2014 without many expectations. Soon enough, Théo was rubbing shoulders with big shots like Sango, Troyboi, Full Crate and Jarreau Vandal. Dutifully playing the opening and closing sets, he would hone the craft of DJing and finetune his sense of rhythm. Slowly but surely, Théo was being booked in clubs and events all across Belgium, playing both electronic music party sets to the more laid-back old-school hip hop sessions. He’s anything but a one-trick pony, and that soon caught the attention of huge festivals like Amsterdam Dance Event, Dour Festival, Les Ardentes and Couleur Café. Now that he had a taste, he was hooked. As BSMNT became one of the strongest eclectic club nights in the country, its resident DJ was looking across the border. And so Théo exported the versatile and infectious DJ-sets to every club in every corner of the old continent: Paris, Berlin, Porto, Rome, Barcelona, you name it. But it didn’t stop there. Théo looked for new challenges rather than sticking to the same formula. He had always dabbled in Ableton, but gradually he took production more seriously. First with the occasional remix and edit – but then with his own original productions, the first of which hit the digital stores in March 2022.
