Producer, Beat-maker Jonny Faith grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland, but is now based in Melbourne, Australia. His music journey began as a Dj spinning jungle, hip hop and broken beats in clubs and later on Sydney's 2SER.fm. Eventually he branched out from Djing and turntablism and his first release under his own name, the Blue Sky on Mars EP, was released by spotify:search:label%3A%22Civil+Music%22 in early 2011. After a time spent DJing and doing mixes and remixes, Faith signed with the influential spotify:search:label%3A%22Tru+Thoughts%22 label and readied his debut album. Sundial, an album that skillfully wove together all of Faith's influences into a sunny, relaxed mix, was released in early 2015. The follow up to Sundial was the La Lune EP which touched his DnB roots whilst also incorporating footwork and other styles. His latest Work, the Night Lights EP, has Faith featuring vocalists for the first time in his music. The first single Fana features a taste of Guinea and the soaring vocals of Mohamed Camara. Then on single two, Lady K brings some neo soul with her blend of sublime vocals and tight rhymes. The other instrumental tracks from the EP traverse broken beat with a touch of jungle and bass music touches.
