Kai Emani is a 23 year-old singer and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York, who has always had a love for R&B. She began singing at the age of 12 and invested in developing her voice through vocal coaching at 17. Her musical career started as an outlet to release her feelings but then developed into much more than a hobby. She began to release music under the moniker “Kai Mars.” There, she produced R&B singles that flexed her songwriting skills that stemmed from past experiences. Through songwriting and providing background vocals for a few of your favorite artists, including Usher, Chance the Rapper, and Bebe Reha, she continued to find her sound in music. As a developing independent artist, Kai Emani gravitated towards traditional R&B as her musical inspiration. Kai has recently rebranded to “Kai Emani,” a shortened version of her given name and middle name as an ode to staying true to herself. She describes her sound as melodic, multi-dimensional, and intimate as she prepares to releases her first official single “Personal”. Kai shows versatility while proving her songwriting is her best attribute.
