Lia Vissi was born in Larnaca, Cyprus. She started piano lessons at the age of five at the National Conservatory of her city. In 1973 she continued her studies in classical music in Athens at the National Conservatory, from where she received her piano diploma. She taught piano at the same conservatory for a number of years. She has also taken classical singing lessons. At the same time, she participated in record productions with a vocal ensemble and her voice accompanies the majority of Greek singers until 1990 and can be heard in successful television commercials. In 1985 he represents Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest. This is how her singing career begins. In 1989 she released her first album. Since then she presents intense artistic activity not only as a singer, but also as a composer and producer of her songs. Active in the field of theater and television, she has written music for television series and shows, as well as for theatrical performances. She collaborated with the Theatrical Organization of Cyprus and the DIPETHE of Larissa and participated in a film for the Thessaloniki Festival. Between 1988 and 1996 Lia created several successful entertainment venues in Athens and collaborated with important Greek artists in concerts in Greece and abroad. Today, Lia is a piano teacher at Filippos Nakas Conservatory and her latest music project, named "Closing Act", released by Spicy Music
