There is an undeniable affinity between O'o and its ornithological namesake, the Ō'Ō, a bird native to Hawaii, renowned for the melody of its song and its mysterious harmonies… But if the unfortunate bird is now a thing of the past, the story is just beginning for the duo whose career began in Barcelona where they both lived for several years. Their debut album, Touche, was released in 2022 on the discerning French record label, InFiné.Composed by Victoria Suter and Mathieu Daubigné, two childhood friends, the duo uses French and English mixing experimental pop, electronica, and "chanson". A singular, offbeat blend that evokes the lyrical accents of Kate Bush, the dreaminess of Björk, and the groove of Little Dragon.O'o composed their second album, Songs of Wishes and Bones, in southwest France, in the rural atmosphere of a small village surrounded by forests of tall pines and open fields. The album is a collection of stories of light and darkness, set against a backdrop of an organic and poetic landscape.
