Born Tinotenda Devine Chidewu, Tidech (ty-deck) is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Harare, Zimbabwe. Inspired by the livelihood of ghetto people, Tidech's creativity is centred on everyday life of an ordinary Zimbabwean from the high density. The wittiness in his lyrics, the type of rhymes and the level of storytelling has found people falling in love with his music. As a Shona word smith, he ended up calling himself "Godobori", due to his ability to mix up words and entertain people with his soul soothing lyrics. The name is sometimes shortened to "Godo" which means ice, and it compliments his love for whiskey, hence "whiskey pama godo" which means; whiskey on ice (rocks).
