Rapper/Singer and songwriter Baba Crunch is from the Isle of Dogs in East London, a spot that is influential and referenced in his music. As a child Baba Crunch claims he was infatuated with the song by Kriss Kross called ‘Jump’ he would memorise the lyrics in which he would also master their skippy flows. He then went on to study other rappers with the same capabilities such as Big L and Ludacris. He believes studying these rappers gave him a unique style during his Grime phase, At the age on 14 he was regarded one of the favourites in a group called Bombsquad who many would say were a strong talent during the ChannelU era with both of their videos grabbing number 1s in the Channel U charts.
