So..."why do I still do music?" Do I still think I could get rich off of it? No. Am I trying to garner popularity? Not even. I do music for the same reason BB King started as a child until the day he died. For the same reason Willie Nelson wrote his first song at age 7, and still doing it. I do it because I live it. Hip-hop is the air I breathe. The only difference between me and them....I'm in a culture that believes I shouldn't any more. I'm in a culture that patronizes and silently heckles me for it. See, I love hip-hop, and one doesn't "grow out" of that love for hip-hop; just like every other genre culture. So....mock me for it.
