Larie (Lah-ree) Donaile Edwards was born and raised in Richmond,Virginia.He started singing at the age of seven years old,under the tutelage of his father who was and still is a church pianist and choral director. Larie was heavily influenced by gospel music. He was also a huge fan of R@B, listening to Donny Hathaway,Marvin Gaye,Barry White to name a few,its safe to say the Edwards house hold was feeled with music. At the age of nine,Larie began writing songs and poetry,also being a child of the hip hop generation and having a mother who was also a writer. As Larie got older he sang in school and church choruses as well as talent shows all throughout the Richmond area.He also would win poetry competitions on local and state levels. He later attended Norfolk State University and earned a bachelor's degree in music. Throughout the state of Virginia,Larie earned the reputation of a "crowd pleaser" and was often compared to some of R@B's like Will Downing,Luther Vandross and Barry White.He almost signed to a major deal,but unfortunately it did not pan out,so Larie took matters in his own hands and push his own career. Larie created his first full album "Poetic Love" in the mid 2000,s. Larie has won countless awards in 5 major markets,which includes LA,Chicago,Detroit,DC and New York.He has opened up for major acts such as "Jaguar Wright",90's R@B legends "Intro" and the legendary "Ohio players". Currently " Love Anthems" his newest album is creating a tremendous buzz.
