Sekiwe Mahlangu is a musician, vocalist, songwriter. She was born and bred in Tembisa. She runs a recording studio in Tembisa and dedicated her life to help other struggling musicians with high quality music equipment and cheaper studio time. Sekiwe started singing at her primary school choir, she continued singing throughout high school where she learned how to sing opera music. After completion of high school, she joined the Tembisa Youth Choral Choir and she sang at church where she met Lehlohonolo Ndlovu (Hloxit) who invited her to join the IT Group Factory where she worked with the likes of Sabatha Masoka and Bukiwe. In 2011 she enrolled at the Heritage Music School to enhance her knowledge in music and consequently fell in love with the guitar. In the following year she moved to Vusi Mahlasela Music Academy (VUMUSA) and worked with Vusi Mahlasela’s band as a backing vocalist. She Launched her Journey as a solo artist and recorded two songs namely Ndoda with Dj Lesh SA as well as Intombi with Dj Maphorisa & Kabza. Sekiwe aspires to work with artist of different genres of music and take her music from all over Africa to the world
