Biography

Eide Olsen is a singer/songwriter based in Norway. After releasing albums and holding concerts for several years (from 1995 until 2003) he withdrew from the musical scene. His former bands, "The Scoop" and "Eddie Olsen and the Gogo Foundation" (both acts to be found on Spotify and other streaming-services) were known as energetic live acts with a feelgood vibe. Eide Olsen's album "Cross My Heart" released during the corona-outbreak in 2021 received good reviews, radio play and eventually threw him back on stage. The next Eide Olsen album is scheduled for release May 2023 and will display the contributions of as well former Norwegian Grammy award winners as of young aspiring talents. The collaboration with the polish jazz musician Irek Wojtczak continues and is this time expanded also to include the “multi-million-spins” Norwegian producer Eirik Grønner. “My Dear” may stand out to be more modern production than the former reverent old-school production of “Cross My Heart”. The first single “Don’t Even Try” displays the talent of the guitarist Thommas Schønberg and gives you the vibe of the 1990es in both a refined and slightly posh production.
