In 2001, David first cut his teeth in the gigging industry as the dummer in a punk rock band. In 2007, he taught himself to play the acoustic guitar, began writing and performed often at open mic nights. In 2009, David began turning songs he wrote on a blanket at the beach, into Pop/R&B club bangers. In 2014, David began to incorporate themes of faith into his songwriting, but set out to make the best Christian music out there. "Today's Christian music is predictable and at times just boring. Can't we have lyrics about God, but over music like Rihanna, Usher, or Justin Timberlake?" He told interviewer Charles Barkley. He has networked with many industry professionals including Tom Jackson (Live music producer for Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendez), Billy Smiley (Audio Engineer of Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift, Korn, Evanescence), Grant Norsworthy (Former member of Sonic Flood, Founder of MoreThanMusic Mentoring), Ken Stoerts (Founding Member of Skillet, President of Visible Music College) and Supreme (Affiliate member; Wutang Clan) gaining insight on how to successfully run a music business. Some of his notable performances include: The United States Coast Guard Festival, and the 2015 Unity Christian Music Festival (Sharing the roster with Third Day, Ryan Stevenson, Dan Bremnes, and Ginny Owens). In 2020, David was selected by the Extreme Tour, and has been an annual national act ever since.
