Prior to his solo career, Diego Garcia made his mark on the indie music scene as frontman for the indie band, Elefant. Born in Detroit to Argentine parents, Garcia traced his diverse roots as he explored his heritage on his first solo album, Laura. Inspired by the pioneers of the classic troubadour movement of the 70’s such as Sandro, Roberto Carlos and Julio Iglesias, Garcia’s music is a fusion of these Latin influences with the era’s “anglo” visionaries. The sounds from Laura drew Garcia comparisons to Leonard Cohen, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie and more. 
 Through his solo career, Garcia has managed to have a constant timeless romanticism within his modern sound. In 2017, Garcia returns with "Don't Go," the first single from a new album that is slated for release on Nacional Records in 2018.
