San Juan, Puerto Rico's underground-dance music cult heroes, the Z Boys, have been rocking the dancefloors of the island's raves, clubs, festivals, lounges, and after-hours since 2000. The locally legendary duo, consisting of DJs Christopher Alexander, aka ShaggDaddy, and Hugh Harry, have had a significant impact on Puerto Rico's modern music landscape throughout the years. Through their DJ residencies and high-energy performances at major electronic music events on the island, the duo has opened for countless international acts, for thousands of spectators, for over 20 years. With releases under labels such as Cimelde, Proper Slap, K:Lender, Soulfooled, Electronique NU, MUR (Miami Underground Records), as well as collaborations with fellow DJ/Producers from the Island, Jonny Cruz, Flavio Acaron and even collaborations with Soulfooled Record's Alex Niggeman and Cimelde's Atapy. Starting in 2022, the Z Boys have decided to embark on releasing music as a group again. This time, independently, under their label: Z Boys Music. The first release for the duo and label is a three-track EP titled "El Jacket Retro EP Vol 1".
