Emerging from the depths of loss, grief, poverty, addiction, and homelessness, Shanax Bars creates a unique and immersive sonic atmosphere characterized distorted 808s, animated vocals & deeply entrenched lyrics about her life & experiences. An advocate for LGBT rights and recovery from addiction, trauma, mental illness, & codependency, Shannon strives to use her platform to spread a message of compassion, community, and healing. However, success hasn’t come overnight for Shannon. She began uploading her early singles to SoundCloud in December 2019 while amassing a small following on Instagram, but it wasn’t until she debuted her revolutionary single Darkness followed by the modern dark trap album ORGY that would propel her to the next level in her career. In early 2022, Shannon was recruited by Las Vegas-based underground record label $peakeasy $olace Music Group, joining the ranks of contemporaries Ohzart, Dimensional K, Rome Tha FUNKGOD, and TurnItUp Kev, with label president TempKnight Harrison as her mentor. Since then she has become Vice President of SSMG East Coast branch and taken Pittsburgh local and long-time friend Briahn under her wing. On October 1, 2022, Shannon released her long-awaited double-length dark trap album RUSTBELT DEMON QUEEN, a nod to her unofficial title as queen of the underground. She hopes that with the release of "RBDQ", she will rise to a new level of recognition in the underground trap community.
