Born in the city that never sleeps, New York City, Terrance Phipps, commonly known by the stage name “Chu!o”, is a rising lyricist/songwriter. Raised in a single parent home in North Carolina, Chu!o’s passion for music is accredited to his mother’s very same love for music. At the young age of thirteen, Chu!o began to showcase his musical talent by playing the trumpet, and writing lyrics. After getting his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from North Carolina Central University, Chu!o began working full time on pursuing his career as an artist/songwriter. After loosing his mother to stage 4 Lymphoma Cancer, Chu!o’s goal is to honor his mother's wish by continuing to make great music and bring joy to the world through his talent.
