Navz-47 is first and foremost a musician. A vocalist, rapper, lyricist & composer who is a Tamil-Canadian artist. Having lived in Colombo, Montreal & now a resident of the vibrant city of Toronto, Navz-47 is able to transition seamlessly between the languages of Tamil, French & English. She uses the power of music to communicate and resonate with her audience. Culture, language & authenticity emanate from her style of music to connect with a broad audience. She has been writing since the age of 15 and released her first song, Kathali with AMU in 2017. She received an overwhelming reception for her break-out performance, and not slowed down in releasing new music to her growing fan base. Her music has reached across the world and has been recognized by many South Indian music composers. Navz-47 songs have been featured in a notable web-series and movies in South India like Fiyah Fiyah from “Action”. Navz-47 is breaking gender stereotypes and nurturing ties with communities through her powerful words and new generation rap music.Her goal is to create thought provoking lyrics and to raise social awareness among young adults. This year, NAVZ-47 joined A.R. Rahman’s new label alternative, Maajja and is focused on releasing her debut album, F.O.B.
