Jhinda Music hails from the infamous London town! Raised in Southall he grew up fortunately being surrounded by punjabi culture, language and music. His first ever memories of punjabi music included the tapes of legendary artists like The Safari Boyz, The Sahotas, Malkit Singh, Jazzy B and Surjit Bindrakhia whilst in his Mums car on the way from school. The 2 words he would use to describe his sound are Folk and Electric. His musical influences range from Punjabi folk/Indian classical/qawwali right through the spectrum to Electronic music, live digital performers and controller-ism. His first ever piece of production equipment was an Akai MPC 1000 having been inspired by sampling videos off youtube. The vast collection of equipment soon followed, Jhinda is a self confessed gear junkie loving all types of analogue and digital pro audio equipment!
