Slay Jones is a product of being raised by his immigrant Surinamese parents and the streets of The Hague, where he discovered his passion for hip-hop. Inspired by legends like DMX, Nas, and 50 Cent, he began writing his own lyrics at an early age, infused with raw emotion and street wisdom. His first big break came on October 11, 2015, when he took the stage alongside Xzibit and Bishop Lamont during the Loose Cannon’s Europe Tour at the Burgerweeshuis in Deventer. In the following years, Slay continued to establish his place in the hip-hop scene. His performances at the I Love Hip Hop Festival in 2021 and 2022 were pivotal, where he showcased his unique flow and hard-hitting punchlines to a growing audience. These experiences not only pushed his career forward but also gave him the opportunity to expand his fanbase and solidify his name in the underground scene. With his upcoming project, “To The Top,” Slay seeks new creative heights, supported by producer BeatSmith and guided by Bishop Lamont as executive producer.
