Chris Derek is a trans non-binary singer/songwriter and fashion model from Indonesia. Derek has been pushing boundaries and testing their limits since a very young age. They started their music career in 2007 as a vocalist of a Pop/Rock band called Alphakids. It was a professional band contained with 5 talented kids and they had one studio album released in 2009. A few years later, after going through some phases in life, Chris Derek finally rebooted their music persona as a solo musician with a massive transition in terms of musical genre. In May 2016, Derek released their self-produced, debut single, Petrichor. A year later, they released a follow-up single titled Civet. After finishing college while also pursuing a modeling career, working on a company and creating contents on social media, Derek finally decided to go back to music and this time with stronger concept and a brand-new vision.
