Monika Hüttlová, a.k.a "Allia", is a Czech composer, multi instrumentalist, singer/songwriter. She released her first album "Moments of Sanity" in April 2021 and her second album "Black & White Therapy" in January 2022. Allia's music covers a wide range of styles; from electronic to classical, medieval to folk and more. Allia's childhood was shaped by music. She spent 16 years singing in a choir and she has been playing piano since she was 7. Despite not wanting to play piano at first, she soon fell in love with it and it became her main instrument. Later on she also learned to play recorders, tin whistle, flute, shawm, gemshorn, bladder pipe, ukulele and zills. Allia spent most of her childhood devoted to music but at the age of 18 she became passionate about bellydance in all its forms. In her twenties she was rather a bellydancer than a musician and with moving to different countries she left all her instruments behind in her hometown. It was dance that brought her back to music; she danced in a medieval tavern and was introduced to a medieval band Turdus Musicus which she later joined as a lead singer and a wind instrumentalist. As a composer, Allia has been heavily influenced by her partner, a multi instrumentalist, who showed her that music does not have to be restricted to pre-written scores. In 2021 Allia found her new passion in composing and has been composing ever since.
