Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Tranquil is an Alternative R&B singer/songwriter and producer. With a natural gift for harmony, and a story teller’s attention to detail, Tranquil’s songs reflect a hard earned wisdom from a life spent creating music. Born Patrick Walton, Tranquil got his start in the music industry singing with the R&B group Precyyse, who performed all over their native Chicago. Playing at local colleges, public parks, and even performing the national anthem for the Chicago Bulls, Walton learned how to keep a crowd entertained with little more than his singing voice. After many years in Chicago, Walton relocated to York, PA, to further his musical ambitions. He started a new group called Paradoxz, adding Hip-Hop elements to his dynamic R&B sound. They embrace a multi generational sound, drawing from classics like MJ, Prince, and Stevie Wonder while adding a modern perspective. The end result is the sound of artists becoming larger than the sum of their parts, working together to create something truly unique. Tranquil stands out from the crowd with his strong will to succeed and a laid back sound that keeps listeners grounded.
