While Rosso Beats is a producer quickly becoming synonymous with Australia's buzzing underground rap scene, he's already proven that he can take things international with his own distinct flair. The young upstart began making remixes and mash-ups at 13 years old, later progressing to production on Ableton throughout his teenage years. During his final year of high school in 2019, Rosso began to plan his own self-titled EP, which saw his beats accompanied by a collage of his favourite artists. Most notably, the project featured American rapper Dizzy Wright alongside singer Zack Gray on 'Facts', while A$AP TyY appeared on 'Road To Riche$'. Viral Scottish emcee Shogun delivered bars on 'Frauds' alongside South-West Sydney heavyweight Rops1, resulting in one of his most popular releases to date. Influenced by the ominous trap sonics of 808 MAFIA and Metro Boomin, plus gritty East Coast revivalists like Griselda and A$AP Mob, Rosso merged these sounds with additional nods to UK drill production on his sprawling debut EP. Come 2022, Rosso will exclusively produce projects for various Australian artists, and while his trademark sound encompasses all things brash and brooding, Rosso is looking to expand his sonic portfolio to include R&B and more melodic-leaning material. Still, the common thread in his work is clear: "I want to reach a point where anytime you see 'Rosso Beats' on a track, you already know it's going to be a banger."
