Born & raised in Mesa, Arizona, D Carter’s flows are hotter than the AZ summers! Dedicated to honing his craft as a rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer since 2016, he’s rapidly climbing toward making his own mark in the music industry. After tragically losing his firstborn son in 2015, the artist (then known as David) had to find his way in the world, which is when he began taking his music career more seriously and decided to honor his late son, Carter, in his stage name. He became a member of the Arizona rap group Under Society, and shortly after performed his first house show where he fell completely in love with music and knew this was the career for him. On this experience, D Carter says, "After I lost my son, I felt like I had no purpose; I needed to change that. I wanted Carter to be remembered forever - never forgotten. I will make sure that my boy will live on through me and my music. I wouldn't be who I am today without Carter guiding me every day. I decided to pursue a career in music because it was the only thing I absolutely loved doing - the feeling of performing that first house party was euphoric; like I was meant for this. I can't explain the incredible rush I had, in front of many people performing my own music. It was all I needed to know this is what I want, this is my calling."
