Biography

Smoke Generxtor is an independent/underground Hip Hop artist, producer, and engineer. His sound and style can be described as a gumbo pot of golden era New York Hip Hop, early Southern Trap, and the Classic West Coast lyricists. Influenced by the greats like Rakim, UGK, Outkast, 2Pac, Scarface, Nas, and Wu, Smoke is a true student of the game when it comes to approaching his music. Every aspect - from the content to the delivery and wordplay – all the way to the final mix he is “hands on” with the product. Born in Mobile, Alabama Smoke fell in love with Hip Hop culture as pre-teen. It started with breakdance and graffiti art, but as life got more complicated as a a young adult, hip hop music became the chosen form of expression. The present-day Smoke creates thought rich music with a conscious, drawing of experience of life – the highs and low, the wins and losses, and the emotions of it all - to give the listener a glimpse into his world. His debut project Blood, Sweat, and Tears is a three-album trilogy. The original idea was to create one album with three different vibes, but as the writing and recording process started flowing it became clear that it would either be a really long album or be broken up into parts. The result was the three albums: Blood (harder/edgy) – Sweat (up tempo/melodic) – and Tears (emotional/melodic). Each album stands alone, defined and complete – but also has lyrical references and music ties to the others.
